John Fee

Mr. John Fee was born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Dickinson College in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in history and political science. He spent his junior year in Bologna, Italy. In 1972, Mr. John graduated from Georgetown University Law School.

He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Air Defense through Army ROTC and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2000. In the mid-1970s, Mr. John served Speakers Carl Albert and Thomas “Tip” O’Neil in the Office of the Parliamentarian of the House of Representatives.

From 1978-2008, he worked at the U.S. Tax Court, serving 19 years as the Reporter of Decisions, where he edited and published 36 volumes of judicial reports. For his participation and leadership in various civic activities, Mr. John was named honorary Lord Fairfax of Fairfax County, Virginia, in 1992.

From 1994-96, he was the president of the Fairfax County Federation of Citizens Associations, an umbrella organization for 200 residential communities. Since 2005, he has chaired the Consumer Protection Commission of Fairfax County.

Recently, Author John Fee published his autobiography, “13PUTT: Experiences of a Duffer,” in which he shares his golf journey and funny experience with all golf enthusiasts. This 50-page coffee table book targets seniors who rarely score under 100 strokes and any other person who wants to polish his golfing skills.

Mr. John is willing to travel, preferably in the offseason, to learn and contribute to golf as much as possible.
